We are unable to refund the difference in price; however, you may request a refund for the initial gift and repurchase it at the current sale price.

Unredeemed gifts may be cancelled and returned to your inventory.

To cancel a pending gift:

1. Log in to your Steam client and click «Games» in the upper left-hand corner
2. From the menu, click «Manage Gifts & Guest Passes»
3. Select the gift within your Steam Inventory and click «Send gift. » as seen below:
4. Select the «Return the gift to your account» option and click «Next»

Please note, approved refunds may take up to 7 days to appear in your account. For payment methods that do not qualify for direct deposit, refunds will only be available as Wallet credit.

I purchased a game as a gift, can I add it to my own account?

To redeem a gift to your own account:

1. Log in to your Steam client and click «Games» in the upper left-hand corner
2. From the menu, click «Manage Gifts & Guest Passes»
3. Within your Steam Inventory, select the gift and click «Add to my library…» as seen below:

My friend has already redeemed my gift, can I still get a refund?

A refund may be issued for any gift that was purchased within fourteen days and has been played less than two hours by the gift recipient.

• Have the gift recipient initiate the process by requesting a refund as outlined below.
• Once the refund has been verified by the gift recipient, please go to help.steampowered.com and create your refund request.

1. The gift recipient should go to help.steampowered.com and log in with their Steam Account.
2. Once logged in, click on «Games, Software, etc.»

   

   Find and click on the gift in the provided list

   

   Click the problem that is occurring with the product

   

   Next, click «I’d like to request a refund»

   

   Finish the request by clicking the box to remove the gift from your account and allow the original purchaser to request a refund

   Если вы отправили своему другу в Steam игру в подарок, а она у него не заработала или просто не понравилась, то деньги за покупку можно вернуть.

   Сразу бы хотелось отметить, что это способ решения проблем, а не лазейка для возможности играть в игры бесплатно. Если будете злоупотреблять этим способом, то рано или поздно функцию возвратов могут отключить.

   Основные условия для возврата:
   — не больше 2 часов в игре
   — 14 дней с момента покупки

   Чтобы в Steam вернуть деньги за подарок следующие действия должны выполнить подаривший (отправитель) и принявший (получатель) подарок. В какой последовательности выполнять не имеет значения, но удобнее, чтобы получатель сделал свои действия первым.

   Действия Получателя

   Для начала нужно выбрать игру, которую собираемся возвращать в библиотеке в клиенте Steam.

   

   В появившемся меню справа выбираем «Поддержка». Если у вас нет доступа к клиенту Steam, то можете перейти на сайт https://help.steampowered.com/ru/ и там найти необходимую игру.

   

   Выбираем «Технические проблемы» или «Куплено по ошибке», далее «Я хочу запросить возврат средств за этот подарок».

   

   В появившемся сообщении ставим галочку напротив «Разрешить пользователю, который оплатил этот подарок,запросить возврат средств за него».

   

   Готово, все необходимые действия со стороны получателя выполнены.

   Действия Отправителя

   Отправитель подарка должен зайти в историю своих покупок, сделать это можно двумя способами:
   — нажать в клиенте Steam на ввой никнейм, «Об аккаунте», «История покупок»
   — перейти по ссылке https://store.steampowered.com/account/history/

   Находим в списке покупок нужную игру и нажимаем на неё. Далее выбираем «Я хочу запросить возврат средств», при необходимости заполняем причину возврата.

   

   После отправки заявки на e-mail придёт письмо с текстом вроде этого:

   Здравствуйте.
   Ваш запрос на возврат средств был получен!
   Мы рассматриваем ваш запрос на возврат средств и постараемся ответить как можно скорее.

   Обычно обработка заявки происходит в районе часа-двух, но во время распродаж это время может увеличиваться до двух суток. Ответ на заявку придёт по почте, либо же его можно отслеживать тут: https://help.steampowered.com/ru/wizard/HelpRequests.

   Ответ придёт примерно такой:

   Здравствуйте.
   Средства за вашу покупку будут возвращены.
   Мы возвращаем средства на ваш кошелёк Steam. Они будут обозначены как ожидающие рассмотрения и вернутся вам в течение 7 дней.

   В центре поддержки это будет выглядеть так:

   

   После этого возвращённые деньги будут отображаться в аккаунте в скобках как на картинке ниже.

   

   Эти деньги как бы заблокированы, т.е. они уже на вашем балансе, но потратить их нельзя. Эта блокировка продлится по правилам сервиса до 7 дней, но на практике у меня она всегда длилась не больше 2 дней. После окончания блокировки (рассмотрения) сумма прибавится к основному балансу аккаунта.

   Способ, как вернуть подарок в Стиме, только один, а состоит он из двух этапах. Подробную инструкцию, как это сделать, вы найдете ниже. Также в этой статье мы расскажем об условиях, при которых возврат будет возможен в принципе.

   Можно ли вернуть игру, полученную в подарок

   Можно ли вернуть подарок в Стиме (ведь оплачивался он дарителем)? Можно, но при соблюдении стандартных условий:

   1. Покупка была совершена не более 14 дней назад.
   2. Вы “наиграли” менее 2 часов .*
   3. На игру не были установлены модификации (любые).
   4. Продукт во время использования не был заблокирован по VAC (читерство)

   * Если продукт входит в набор, в котором присутствуют и другие игры, то учитывается общее время, проведенное в них. То есть считаем в этом случае не по 2 часа на каждую, а 2 часа в совокупности.

   Как оформить возврат

   Тут практически та же процедура, что и в случае с собственноручно купленными продуктами на Steam. Единственное отличие — необходимость подтверждения запроса на возврат дарителем.

   Как запросить возврат средств за подарок в Стиме, этап первый:

   • Входим в свой аккаунт на сервисе — через браузер или десктопный клиент. Переходим к разделу “Библиотека ”.
   • Поиском находим нужный подарок и переходим на его карточку. Справа вы увидите колонку “Ссылки” (или кликните на три точки) а в ней — строку “Поддержка” . Жмем на нее.

   

   • Далее выбираем причину, по которой хотим вернуть подаренную игру в Стиме. Можно, в принципе, указать любой пункт, но логичнее будет “Товар не оправдал ожиданий” или “Я хочу навсегда удалить … “.
   • Теперь жмем на “Я хочу запросить возврат средств” . На экране появится карточка запроса. Здесь еще раз нужно выбрать причину (строка “Почему вы хотите вернуть деньги?”).*

   

   • Жмем на “Отправить зап р ос ” , а затем на “Ок” в окошке, которое появится на экране. Почти одновременно с этим на e-mail “упадет” уведомление о том, что запрос оформлен.

   

   *Ниже еще будет поле “Примечание”. Его, если условия возврата соблюдены, оставляем незаполненным.

   Как вернуть деньги за подаренную игру в Steam, этап второй:

   1. Связываемся с тем, кто делал нам этот подарок и объясняем, что сделан запрос на возврат и его нужно подтвердить.
   2. Даритель входит сюда, а затем авторизируется в своем профиле.
   3. Открывает раздел “Покупки” , ищет ту же самую игру, а затем создает собственный запрос на ее возврат. Тут можно действовать по инструкции “Как вернуть деньги за игру в Стиме которую подарил другу”, приведенной выше.

   

   Далее заявка дожидается рассмотрения сотрудниками службы поддержки. Как только они дадут “добро”, игра пропадет из библиотеки одаряемого и из раздела “Покупки” у дарителя.

   Когда и куда придут деньги за подарок в Стиме

   Ориентировочный срок, в который обычно возвращаются деньги — до 7 дней . Но тут также надо учитывать, куда именно произойдет перечисление. Если речь идет о кошельке в Steam или о любом электронном кошельке (Киви, Яндекс), то по времени выйдет как раз 7 дней или немного выше. Если вывод запланирован на карту, то тут может получиться и более 15 дней (зависит от конкретного банка).

   Обратите внимание: возврат денег производится только тому, кто оплачивал продукт. То есть получателем в данном случае будет тот, кто сделал вам подарок. А вернуть деньги за игру, если отклонить подарок в Стиме, может только сам даритель.

   Можно сделать так,как сказал я.Игру с твоего аккаунта спишут (после принятия подарка),ты дашь согласие на то,чтобы тот,кто подарил смог вернуть деньги и он оформляет возврат.Все довольно просто.Саппорт ответит,но спустя пару часов.

   Спасибо! Я просто еще боюсь,что друг обидится из-за отказа и забьет из принципа на возврат денег.А я не люблю быть должен кому-то.Мне бы саппорта попросить,чтобы ему просто деньги скинули обратно на кошелек Стим.Поэтому дождусь официального ответа.)

   What is a Steam Gift?

   When you purchase a game on Steam, we offer the option to “gift” the item to anyone on your Steam friends list. The recipient will receive the gift as an attractive e-mail card with a personal message from you and instructions to redeem the game.

   A Steam gift purchase is a one-time transfer—after the recipient has redeemed and installed the gift, it is now a part of his or her Steam games collection. Also note that you may only gift new purchases—you may not transfer games you already own. That’d be like wrapping up and presenting the toaster you’ve used every morning for the past year.

   How can I purchase Steam Gifts for a different Steam user?

   To give a gift to a friend or family member, locate the game you would like to gift on the Steam Storefront and then click the «Add to cart» button. Upon checking out, select the «Purchase as a gift» option to purchase the items in your cart for a friend.

   Selecting your gift recipient

   When you select the «Purchase as a gift», you’ll be presented with a list of your Steam friends, from there you can select who you’d like to receive your gift. If you’d like to send it to someone who’s not listed, you’ll have to add them to your Steam friends list. This helps ensure your gift is going to make it to the right person.

   How can I deliver the gift at a later date?

   After you’ve chosen a friend to receive the gift, you can click the «Schedule delivery. » button to schedule the gift to be sent automatically on a future date. When that time comes, we’ll automatically send the gift to your friend and also send you an email letting you know your gift has been delivered.

   Including a Special Message with your gift

   You may take a few moments to add a special message to the gift recipient. When they receive your gift, your special message will be displayed for them in Steam and they will also receive your gift message via e-mail.

   

   What happens after I purchase a gift?

   Your friend will receive an e-mail message, including your personalized gift message, notifying them that they have received a gift. Your friend will also receive a gift notification in the Steam client.

   How will I know whether my friend has received their gift?

   You can check the status of all your gifts on your Steam Inventory page. You can also access this from the Steam client — Within Steam, click on «Games» in the main menu, then select «Manage gifts and guest passes. » .

   When your gift is sent to your friend, they’ll have the option to accept or decline the gift. Once they do, we’ll send you an email letting you know. If your friend takes no action on the gift, we’ll automatically cancel the gift and issue you a refund after 30 days.

   How do activate a Steam gift that I received?

   If you do not already have Steam, download and install Steam here. Once you have Steam installed, you will be prompted to create an account or login to an existing Steam account. If you do not have an account, please create one.

   1. You will receive an e-mail containing a link that will open Steam to redeem your gift or in the Steam client you will receive a notification at the top right corner that says you have a new gift as seen below:

   

   2. Clicking on «1 new gift» will take you to the following screen where you must click either Accept Gift or Decline Gift. Once you click Accept Gift, the game will be added directly to your Library.

   

   If you click on Decline Gift, we’ll issue a refund to the original sender. You can optionally include a note when you choose to decline the gift; whether you do or not, we’ll email the sender to let them know the gift was declined.

   3. When you add the game to your Library it will be listed in your Library > Games list in Steam, highlighting the game and clicking the «Install» will download the game to your computer.

   If the game is already in your Library you will receive a notification that it is and you will not be able to add it.

   If the game is not in your Library you will receive a pop-up notification confirming your actions, and if you have any duplicate games in a package you will be notified that you will not receive extra copies as seen below:

   Gifting Questions

   Do gifts expire if they are not redeemed in a certain amount of time?

   After a gift has been delivered to a friend, they have thirty days to accept the gift. Once the gift has been accepted, the game is permanently subscribed to the Steam account that it was redeemed on.

   How can I tell someone else how to give me a gift on Steam?

   To give a gift on Steam, your friend may simply create a Steam account online and then purchase a gift from the Steam store as a gift. See the How can I purchase Steam Gifts for a different Steam user? section above for detailed instructions.

   Do not allow someone else to use your Steam account to make a gift purchase as it can compromise your account security.

   What will my friends see if I send them a Steam gift?

   When you send a gift to your friend, they will receive an email and a notification at the top of their Steam client that they have received a new gift.

   Can I send gifts to Steam users in other regions?

   Territory restrictions are noted on the Steam Store page.

   Steam Support cannot make changes to territory or language restrictions.

   Can I gift game packs?

   Yes, you can gift game packs the same way you would gift an individual game. Four packs of games cannot be gifted.

   How can I tell if my friend already owns the game(s) I would like to gift?

   If your friends are members of your Steam Friends list, you can learn whether they already own the game you’d like to give. Your Steam Friends who already own this game will automatically be filtered out of the potential list of recipients. You can also visit your friend’s Steam Community profile and click the link to «View all games» to view your Friend’s list of owned games on Steam before purchasing them a gift.

   Can I give multiple gifts at the same time?

   You can give as many gifts as you’d like at one time, but only to one friend per transaction.

   Can I gift games I no longer play to my friends?

   You cannot gift games that were previously purchased on your Steam account to friends.

   Why was my gift revoked?

   May I sell gift subscriptions?

   Steam Gift Purchases cannot be sold. Attempting to sell a gift subscription is a violation of the Steam Subscriber Agreement and may result in your account being permanently disabled.

   How do I share the Four Pack for [L4D, L4D2, Borderlands] with three friends?

   To do this, simply purchase the Four Pack on Steam, and then refer to this guide to share your Extra Copies using the Steam client.
